Active Hero Hamfest India Contest


  1. Contest is open for all VU Hams and VU contacts only.
  2. Contacts can be made on HF, VHF, UHF, ECHOLINK (EL), REPEATERS & SATELLITES. But one call sign one contact only on either band including echolink is valid.
  3. Each contact established will get one point and special station contact AU2IIH will get 3 points.
  4. Contest is OPEN from 28th January 2018 till 31st March 2018.
  5. Contacts established on any HF/VHF/UHF/ECHOLINK/ ZELLO/NETS will be considered.
  6. Contestants will record: Date - Frequency - Callsign - Handle - QTH –– Cell No or LL (All these information is a MUST otherwise it will be considered as invalid.)
  7. Mode of calling will be: CQ HFI CONTEST this is VU…….
  8. Contestants making minimum 100 contacts and submission of log within notified period will get a “HAM ACTIVE HERO HFI CONTEST CERTIFICATE”.
  9. The top three contestants will receive “HAM ACTIVE HERO HFI CONTEST AWARD” with certificate during HAMFEST INDIA 2018.
  10. Abstract of log with your NAME, CALLSIGN, POSTAL ADDRESS, POSTAL CODE, CELL NO. EMAIL ID should be sent by post / courier / email to Dr.S.Sathyapal, VU2FI, General Convenor, HAMFEST INDIA 2018, # 42, 3rd Main, Maruthi Layout, Vasanthapura, Bengaluru-560 061 Or Email: ham7388@gmail.com/hamfestindia2018@gmail.com (in Word or excel format) on or before 15th April 2018.
  11. List of contestants making minimum 100 contacts and awardees will be notified on HFI website and in the social media.
  12. No certificate and award will be sent by post or courier. It can be collected only during Hamfest India 2018 or through any participating delegate.
  13. THIS CONTEST IS TO ASSESS THE ACTIVE HAMS IN THE COUNTRY AND PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR HAMS TO ESTABLISH CONTACTS ON EITHER MODES.
  14. ABSTRACT OF ALL THE LOGS CONTAINING CALLSIGN, NAME, QTH, CONTACT NO will be notified on the HFI Website as “ACTIVE HAMS IN INDIA 2018”
  15. Decision of HFI 2018 committee will be final.
